LAMJUNG, October 3.
The Besisahar–Chame road section, which had been obstructed for six days due to floods and landslides, has resumed operation.
According to Naveen Bista, Information Officer for the Dumre–Besisahar–Chame Road Project, traffic movement resumed after clearing landslides and debris that had blocked the road at Khotro in Nasong Rural Municipality–3 and Koto in Chame Rural Municipality–5.
Floods and landslides had caused landslips at multiple locations along the Besisahar–Chame stretch and washed out sections of the road. With the reopening of the route, the transportation of food items and daily essentials, as well as passenger movement toward Manang, has been restored.
