नयाँ गोरेटो बाटो निर्माण
Rasuwa, September 29
The repair and construction of the foot trail connecting Yangyang Khola to the Tuin (wire crossing) has been completed. The construction was carried out in a highly high-risk area located in Syabrubesi, Gosainkunda Rural Municipality–5, Rasuwa.
After floodwaters from the Bhote Koshi River severed the local road network, the Tuin had become the sole option for movement and transporting essential supplies for residents across various wards of Amachodingmo and Gosainkunda Rural Municipalities.
However, as the access path leading to the Tuin was severely damaged, raising the risk of accidents, local residents had been facing hardships for a prolonged period.
Due to the floods, most youth from Gosainkunda Rural Municipality were away for employment, while displaced residents were housed in a holding center in Kathmandu. Recognizing the threat of potential accidents, the neighboring Amachodingmo Rural Municipality stepped forward to take the initiative.
Demonstrating brotherhood and cooperation in a time of disaster, a voluntary labor campaign was launched under the leadership of Dawa Gombo Tamang (Ram Bahadur), Ward Chairperson of Amachodingmo–5.
Local representatives, municipality employees, local youth, and personnel from the Armed Police Force Nepal jointly contributed voluntary labor for the trail’s construction.
Ward Chairperson Tamang stated that the new trail has made access to the Tuin safer and easier, providing major relief in transporting food and daily essential goods to the community.
Following the completion of the trail, local residents expressed their happiness and gratitude to the local representatives, security personnel, and youth who contributed to the effort.
