Kathmandu, September 2 : ICT Awards and the National Association for Software and IT Services (NAS-IT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at creating greater international opportunities for Nepali technology companies, startups and innovators.
The partnership will facilitate the participation of outstanding technologies and innovations recognized through the ICT Awards in the prestigious Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards.
Under the agreement, eligible companies, startups and innovators participating in or winning the ICT Awards will receive guidance and support to navigate the APICTA Awards process.
This will include assistance in understanding eligibility requirements, selecting appropriate award categories, completing nominations, preparing submissions and positioning their products and solutions for international competition.
Rajan Lamsal, Chairperson of ICT Foundation Nepal, said that connecting nationally recognized technology and innovation with international platforms is a natural next step for the ICT Awards.
“The ICT Awards has been identifying and recognizing some of Nepal’s most promising technology companies, startups and innovators. The next important step is to create opportunities for these achievements to be showcased internationally. By providing the right guidance and facilitation, we can help Nepali innovators present their capabilities on a much larger platform,” said Lamsal.
